Village of Dale

| Our story begins in the Village of Dale, a strange little community in the middle of the Hroun Forest. Dale is split between a tradional tribal society and a more "civilized" neighborhood made up of miners, traders and those looking for a quieter life.
In recent days, a dwarven miner named Kavalar Coppernight found the ruins of a keep at a small mountain north of the village known as Khor's Crag. The mountain has long been considered a holy place for the spirits worshipped by the tribal residents of Dale.
Kavalar had not returned from the dig site for several days, and the mayor of "Civilized Dale" sent two guardsmen to check on his safety. They also did not return.
Fearing some evil spirit had been unleashed from Khor's Crag, the shaman for the tribal people sent his apprentice and some friends to find out what was happening. The group included:
Quinn: The human shaman apprentice
Thor Longblade: A goliath barbarian
Claw'd: A shifter druid
"Bob": A human fighter from the "civilized" part of Dale. He never gives out his real name, even to friends.
When the group arrived at the dig site, they found a group of kobolds guarding the entrance. Bob and Thor quickly moved into combat taking down one of the kobolds. Quinn called upon his spirit guardian, a powerful bear, to help form a wall to prevent the kobolds from advancing. Finally, Claw'd shifted into the form of a panther, and pounced into the fray.
The group quickly dispatched most of the kobolds, but one of them was able to run away, moving into the entrance of the dig.
Claw'd followed into the mountain. He was quickly surrounded by more kobolds. These monsters seemed stronger, and included one who could throw orbs of cold.
The rest of the group followed quickly, with Bob and Quinn's spirit bear killing a couple of the kobolds. The spell casting kobold then decided to focus on the spirit bear, destroying its physical form a number of times. Eventually, Thor and Bob took care of the kobold warriors, while Claw'd and Quinn killed the spell caster.
The friends took a little time to rest before moving farther into the complex. They turned a corner to find a room crawling with kobolds. The group heard a loud voice commanding the kobolds in a strange language. As the small creatures attacked the group, a white dragon wyrmling appeared behind them. The group moved quickly into the room, holding their own against the kobold warriors. The white dragon then used its breath weapon, a freezing blast of ice. Thor and Bob were chilled by the blast, and a number of the dragon's own kobold warriors fell to its power.
Despite his weakened state, Bob focused on the dragon. Claw'd also casted a fiery spell, which hurt the dragon and killed several more kobolds. Quinn's spirit bear and Thor made quick work of the rest of the kobolds. Thor then moved forward to deliver the killing blow to the dragon.
The group found Kavalar and the rest of those missing locked in a nearby room. They also found the dragon's treasure, which included a staff of winter. Kavalar said most of the dragon's treaser was stolen from the dig site, but he wasn't going to argue over ownership, since the friends saved him.
